The Artists are Present: Yves Sheriff, François Blouin, Léonard Roy
The Artists are Present series explores the approach and initiatives of local talents seeking sustainable artistic development in their communities. Directly linked to the activities taking place in the PHI_portal, these artists advocate for greater involvement and innovation in their respective spheres.
An independent curator and resident of Montreal, Yves Sheriff continually seeks “to question the creative process.” Through the PHI_portal, he explored the limits between character and reality by introducing clown artist François Blouin and young juggler Léonard Roy to the interlocutors in Bamako. A moving cultural exercise that proved to unveil some truly disarming vulnerability.
