As part of the exhibition FEELING HER WAY, by artist Sonia Boyce, the PHI Foundation for Contemporary Art presents a Montréal extension to the project Devotional Collection (1999-ongoing).
The collaborative project consists of an ever-growing archive that pays homage to Black British female musicians and singers, as well as the fans, to whom their work means so much.
For the local edition, this drop-in activity invites the public to share names of BIPOC women who have contributed and contribute to the music scene locally and nationally, and to share anecdotes, testimonies and recollections of their importance in music history.
