About the artist

Since 2014, Philippe Brach has been making his mark with honest, free-spirited music that touches on frank folk, lush orchestral and everything in between.

After three albums in three and a half years (2014's La foire et l'ordre, 2015's Portraits de famine and 2017's Le silence des troupeaux)—the last of which won five Félix awards at the 40th ADISQ Gala—Brach has given himself several years to rest, away from the oversaturation of everyday life.

His latest album, Les gens qu'on aime, is at once raw, glorious, sensitive and cynical, a testament to how far he has come and how far he has yet to go, both for himself and for us all.
