For this activity you will need:

• Water and/or disinfectant gel

• Black cardboard paper

• Glue

• Sand or flour

• Glitter

• A white pencil

• A pencil

• Sticky tape

• Mini Ziploc bags

Take your sheet of black cardboard and sprinkle it lightly with water to create small droplets.

These water marks are the first worlds in your constellation, little Big Bangs on your black sheet.

Gently tear 2 or 3 small holes in your black cardboard.

These openings will become your water stars or planets, letting light through and revealing your mini cosmic oceans.

Using a glue stick, trace around the holes or shapes created by the water.

Then sprinkle a little sand or flour onto the glue. Gently shake your creation and observe the patterns that form.

**Josèfa Ntjam often refers to limestone in her work. Limestone is a rock formed by the accumulation of fossilized plankton. Plankton are tiny aquatic creatures, halfway between plants and animals. After they die, their bodies settle at the bottom of the sea and become fossils, transforming into rock over millions of years. Here, we use sand to imitate this mineral, which greatly fascinates the artist.

Let your creation dry for about 15 minutes under a heavy weight (such as a book) to prevent the cardboard from warping.

With your white pencil, add bright lines, stars, planets, or stardust.

You can also use a pencil, whose slightly silvery effect adds beautiful reflections to your cosmic sky.

Fill 2 or 3 small Ziploc bags with a little water.

You can add: 

• Glitter
• A few drops of food coloring
• Or even hand sanitizer for a magical, textured effect!

Then turn your sheet over and tape the Ziploc bags to the back, behind the holes you made earlier, using wide adhesive tape.

Well done, your liquid planets are now shining in your constellation!
