Audiotopie and the PHI Foundation for Contemporary Art invite you to a sonic improvisation session that is open to all! Intergenerational duos are especially welcome!
Inspired by the themes of lineage, dreams, language, and memory, which are at the heart of Laure Prouvost’s exhibition Oma-je, intergenerational pairs were invited to rediscover familiar objects through recordings of voices, soundscapes, and everyday sounds in a series of workshops.
This Open House afternoon event welcomes an audience of all ages to take part in a sound jam with everyday objects that have been enhanced with sound sensors that were created during the workshop series. This jam will take place in an improvisational context where the group dynamic will be built around sound-based games, encouraging both attentive listening and individual expression.
The workshops will be held in French, with whispered translation into English if needed.
Audiotopie
Since 2009, the artists and team at Audiotopie have been creating immersive works through site-specific installations, audio-guided tours, and podcasts. Using sound, they craft narratives, themes, and atmospheres for a given location. The projects engage the audience in a sensory reappropriation of the territory by broadcasting sound creations in public spaces and through podcasts. The cooperative’s expertise lies at the intersection of audiomedia creation, sound architecture, and media interaction.
