Estelle Schorpp
Music

Estelle Schorpp is a Montreal-based sound artist and composer active in the field of experimental music and sound ecology.

Integrating concepts from disciplines such as sound ecology, sound studies, media theory, history of science, acoustics and psychoacoustics, her polymorphous approach combines performance, sound installation and algorithmic composition, as well as academic communication and the writing of articles.

Her ever-changing and immersive sonic landscapes, characterized by their ambiguous shimmering sounds and the use of field recordings, seek both a physical and intellectual experience where listening is central.

250215 collectif Kohlenstoff Cymatiques III Charline Dally

Charline Dally
Visuals

Charline Dally is an artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal, half of the duo le désert mauve. Inhabited by the subversive potential of radical softness, she considers hypersensitivity as a form of power. Her practice combines analog video signals, computer generated imagery, glass and textile through films, installations, and performances. Inspired by astromineralogical research and hydrofeminist ideas, her works are intended to encourage introspection and sharpen our attention to subtleties.

Graduated from Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains and UQAM in visual arts, she presented her first solo show this womb of things to be at the Diagonale art center in Montreal in May 2024.

Sabrina Ratté
Visuals

Sabrina Ratté is a Canadian artist based in Montreal. Using tools, such as 3D scans, analog video synthesizers, and 3D animation, her formal approach serves as the foundation for the creation of ecosystems that manifest across various platforms, from interactive installations to series of videos, digital prints, sculptures, or virtual Reality. Exploring the convergence of technology and biology, the interplay between materiality and virtuality, and the speculative evolution of our environment, her work is influenced by the realms of science fiction, philosophy, and theoretical writings. Ratté portrays worlds devoid of humans, where forgotten remnants continue to evolve and forge new relationships with the ecosystem.

250215 Collectif Kohlenstoff Cymatiques III Alan Dunyo Avorgbedor

Alan Dunyo Avorgbedor
Visuals

Alan Dunyo Avorgbedor is an artist, academic, and attorney who experiments with analog media to compose abstract and poetic audiovisual presentations. Sonically, he composes a blend of acoustic and electronic noise as DUNYO. He is also a film photographer and has exhibited at Z Arts Space in Montreal. He captures quotidian phenomena using film or analog media and generally meditates upon the function of the transport mechanism in extended audiovisual work.

If the medium complicates the affective legislation of subject and object in an aesthetic composition, he is usually there. Consequently, these interests also figure into his academic research in critical ways, particularly within African and diasporic contexts.
