FOUR AWARD-WINNING WORKS

Through inventive methods and innovative narrative forms, these award-winning works deliver artistically ambitious VR experiences that draw us into their nuanced storyworlds. The unique approaches of these four VR pieces are testimony to how the medium has gone beyond our simple fascination with the technology and how it’s now being used to experiment and explore new storytelling possibilities—challenging the medium itself. Their subject matter ranges from interpersonal relationships, culture, memory, neurodiversity, and stories of political and social urgency.

Goliath: Playing with Reality follows the true story of a man with a troubled upbringing who loses his parents and is diagnosed with schizophrenia. He is taken into a psychiatric hospital where he spends several years on strong medication, mostly in isolation.
