Summer Impulse is an invitation to slow down and be carried by the season. Through immersive and enveloping sound works, this program offers a gentle escape—like a calming breeze. Each piece captures that subtle, luminous energy unique to summer—which, these days, never seems too far away.
All pieces were mixed in Atmos at PHI, utilizing the advanced tools of our sound studio. With guidance from our team, the artists shaped their compositions while exploring the depth of spatialized sound. This collaborative process ensures an exceptional listening experience. We are thrilled to share it with you.

Consolation In Constellation by Flabbergast
Born from a one-off collaboration for a release on the MUTEK_rec label, the Flabbergast project, formed by Guillaume Coutu Dumont and Vincent Lemieux, has continued to evolve ever since. For over ten years, the duo focused on fully improvised live performances, but since 2014, they have shifted their focus to composition and have been steadily releasing new music.
Flabbergast’s music draws influences from all corners of electronic music, as well as jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary music. Stylistically, no musical influence is off-limits.
In addition to a constant stream of releases on various record labels, Flabbergast launched its own label, Copier/Coller, in 2023. Their first full-length album, Consolation in Constellation, was released on the French label Chapelle XIV in April 2025.

TIDE/TIED by Thanya Iyer
On her third full-length TIDE/TIED, Montreal artist Thanya Iyer expands on the future-folk designs of sophomore album KIND with washes of jazz-inflected pop and ensemble ambience. While Iyer explored a more personal journey of self-love on KIND, she, her band, and cohort of guest musicians embark on a new way of moving on TIDE/TIED, prizing collective care and communal healing as antidotes to the dissonances of living in a colonial, capitalistic world.
Over twelve tracks, Iyer alternates song, synth layer, strings, and loop substance, interfixing with percussionist Daniel Gélinas’s meditative drumming and multi-instrumentalist Pompey’s adventurous arrangements. Through a deeply collaborative process, Gélinas and Pompey—themselves experienced producers—created the powerful and intricate worldscapes of TIDE/TIED, guided by Iyer’s incisive musical vision, all the while maintaining a cohesive, collective approach to the creative process.

A Break In Time by All Is Well (Fred Everything)
A Break In Time is an ambient album written during the lockdown as a sort of calming therapy/meditation exercise. The project quickly took form with a unique sonic identity and message inspired by this feeling of isolation felt during that time.
“A beautiful album full of spacious well crafted ambient compositions” - Peter Kruder/Peace Orchestra
All Is Well is Frédéric Blais’s latest musical playground, known to the world of Electronic Music for the past 25 years as Fred Everything. He initially started this new project incognito with acclaimed releases on labels such as Drumpoet Community, Compost, Permanent Vacation, Mule Music and Prins Thomas’s Internasjonal. Under that alias, he also collaborated with Lauer and Martin Iveson (Atjazz). An exploration into a more electronic universe, this new platform allowed him to create freely within different genres free of expectations.
As a DJ, All Is Well performed in Paris with Trentemoller and Live at MUTEK Festival in Montreal where he premiered the songs from his forthcoming album on Compost, A Break In Time. His releases have gained strong support from people like Dixon and Ame (Innervisions).
