As part of the creative workshop Terrains de jeu/Maps at Play
This celebration marks the end of the creative workshop Terrains de jeu/Maps at Play, conceived by artist Tania Lara. She will offer a special version of the workshop for this occasion, hosted alongside PHI's Education team, in a continuous celebration. Wine and snacks will be served.
Tania Lara is a multidisciplinary artist and textile artisan of Mexican origin based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal. Through embroidery, weaving, and textile collage, she explores the relationship between bodies, places, and narratives, creating sensitive, fragmented maps that narrate living geographies. Traversed by memory, play, and encounter, textile becomes a porous language—made of accumulations, taut threads and innumerable voids—that allows us to think of the world differently: not as a fixed space to be measured, but as a web of relationships to be excavated and inhabited.
Here, you will find an introduction to our team, an overview of our spring/summer exhibitions, and the themes they explore. The toolkit includes creative activities inspired by the exhibitions, designed for use in the classroom or at home.
