A creative workshop for families offered alongside the spring/summer exhibitions

Families are invited to participate in the creative activity Terrains de jeu / Maps at Play, designed by Mexican-born Montréal artist Tania Lara.

Participants will have the chance to meet artist Tania Lara, who will lead the workshop for this special occasion in our educational room. In conjunction with the exhibitions of Shadow Play by Lap-See Lam and Bingo by Nico Williams, the workshop addresses notions of memory, personal and collective identity, autogeography, and new forms of cartography.

The activity involves the creation of a small deck of cards on Mylar paper, with each card representing a place dear to the participants, using a dot drawing. At the end of the workshop, the cards will be connected by a thread, weaving symbolic links between these personal spaces. A short guided tour of the exhibitions will precede the workshop.
