Under the supervision of the Immersive Experiences Supervisor, the Team Lead is responsible for overseeing technical operations, supporting the attendants, and opening/closing the experience daily. This person supervises the team of VR attendants and ensures the team operates efficiently. The person in this role is responsible for all VR equipment repairs and ensures that all technical aspects are functional and optimal. They may also be called upon to perform other related duties between exhibitions, such as customer service support, boutique support, technical support, administration, and events.
About the position
Main responsibilities
- Opening and closing of the exhibition;
- Offer support to VR attendants during all operating hours;
- Provide a consistent and continuous level of training to all VR attendants;
- Monitor tardiness and behaviour of employees on site;
- Carry out or coordinate the necessary maintenance and cleaning tasks to guarantee the equipment and the set meet experience standards;
- Communicate all information essential to the smooth running of the exhibition to employees and the internal team of the exhibition;
- Supervise the work of the staff globally; replace breaks for exhibition staff, box office and boutique staff as needed and operate the box office and boutique as needed;
- Offer technical support, troubleshoot technical problems as they occur, and maintain all technological equipment;
- Coordinate employee positions, breaks as needed and provide scheduling support;
- Supervise the work of the staff globally; replace breaks for exhibition, boutique staff, box office staff and Team Lead as needed and operate the box office and boutique as needed;
- Carry out ongoing training and follow-ups for the box office and the boutique;
- Follow up on work supplies (repairs, orders, and inventory);
- Provide support and introductions to guests and certain ticket holders.
- Oversee the exhibition’s scenography and fix any damages as they occur;
- Perform a technical maintenance day outside of opening hours
- Fill out daily reports;
- Ensure that the environment remains safe, clean, and professional throughout the duration of the exhibition;
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Computer and/or virtual reality technical experience;
- Capacity to troubleshoot technical problems under pressure;
- Ability to stand for long periods of time;
- Good verbal skills in French and reading comprehension in English (for understanding technical manuals);
- Demonstrate courtesy at all times;
- Demonstrate autonomy, versatility, and attention to detail;
- Neat and clean appearance, good physical condition (due to long working hours);
- Strong team management skills;
- Available evenings and weekends;
- Available for training , date to be determined;
- Organized, punctual, energetic and social.
Experience with virtual reality equipment will be considered, as well as the ability to work independently and show initiative.
