Under the supervision of the Visitor Experience Manager, the receptionist is responsible for ensuring a warm, professional, and inclusive welcome to our visitors. As the first point of contact for visitors, they play an essential role in the quality of the experience offered to our public.
About the position
Main Responsibilities
Welcome, guide, and inform visitors in a professional and pleasant manner;
Answer phone calls and redirect them to the appropriate individuals;
Respond to customer service and ticketing emails;
Ensure that the reception area and office are secure, clean, and operational;
Manage mail and courier requests (sending/receiving packages, invoicing);
Operate the ticket sales system;
Sell tickets on site;
Reserve complimentary tickets for our events;
Coordinate tour reservations for school and community groups (from initial request to visit confirmation);
Reconcile sales for the day;
Inventory first aid kits and ensure they are complete and functional;
Place orders for office supplies, first aid supplies, and equipment;
Open and close the PHI reception desk;
Perform all other related duties associated with the department.
Qualifications & Skills
Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written;
Strong sense of customer service and excellent listening skills;
Demonstrate autonomy, versatility, and attention to detail;
Have a good team spirit and ease in interpersonal relationships;
Professional appearance and strong social skills are essential;
Experience with parcel shipping (an asset);
First aid training (an asset);
Knowledge of the entertainment and/or cultural sector (an asset).
