The Business Development Director is responsible for developing and confirming touring plans for the immersive experiences in PHI Studio's catalog. The person will establish the revenue growth strategy in collaboration with management and ensure its execution. This role will identify venues in which the works can be presented, as well as co-promotion and licensing opportunities with international partners, seek local and national sponsorships, and ensure the monetization of the exhibitions with groups.

PHI encompasses the PHI Centre, PHI Studio, artist-in-residence programs and the PHI Foundation for Contemporary Art. Thanks to an eclectic program and a predilection for content creation, PHI promotes unexpected encounters between artists and audiences.
About PHI Studio
PHI Studio specializes in the production and development of original content, as well as the marketing and distribution of immersive experiences. It is a catalyst for innovation, bringing together artists, creators, directors and producers.
Main responsibilities
- In collaboration with executive management, the Head of New Media Partnerships and PR, and the marketing department, establish business development strategy and objectives, and build a network of relationships and a pipeline of opportunities;
- Develop financial models for different partnership opportunities and be able to calculate the benefits in terms of profitability and yield;
- Identify, qualify exhibition venues and build a tour plan for exhibitions operated by PHI Studio;
- In collaboration with the production and operations teams, build and implement a licensing model and negotiate contractual agreements;
- Identify, analyze and conclude business opportunities with foreign promoters and partners;
- Negotiate global and local sponsorship agreements;
- Qualify each opportunity in collaboration with internal teams to ensure its feasibility and profitability;
- Develop opportunity tracking tools, KPIs, B2B promotional material, and the proposal process;
- Perform other tasks related to your position and department.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in business development;
- A flair for results, autonomy and initiative;
- Leadership and skills in communication, collaboration with internal and external partners and negotiation;
- Ability to move from the strategic to the tactical;
- Experience with the entertainment sector (exhibitions, shows, festivals, etc.) or with licensing and franchising business models;
- An understanding of the production business and the various business models associated with immersive experiences;
- A good network of local and international contacts;
- Flexible working hours and the ability to travel abroad regularly;
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, to develop partnerships;
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google tools;
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline;
- Autonomy to manage execution alone and/or with a small or shared team.
