Richard Mugwaneza is a Rwandan filmmaker based in Montréal. His cinematic work blends poetic imagery with emotional realism, often exploring memory, resilience, and transformation. Over the past 15 years, Richard’s films have screened and been awarded at festivals including Khouribga, Vues d'Afrique, Luxor, and Silicon Valley. An alumnus of L’inis, Berlinale Talents, and Maisha Labs, he continues to craft personal and socially resonant stories across formats.
