Quentin Koffi Adjeoda Agbemadon is a 28-year-old self-taught artist, born in Lyon and living in Montreal for the past two years. Though he has no formal art training, he has enriched his path through diverse artistic experiences. Born to a French mother and Togolese father, Quentin grew up between two cultures, shaping his unique perspective. A transformative trip to Togo inspired his 90-page graphic novel Fragments, exploring the creative process. Passionate about travel, he documents his experiences in travel journals, reflecting his curious and sensitive outlook. He has worked in diverse roles, including at the Drouot Auction House in Paris, gaining exposure to artworks and historical objects from multiple cultures, which strengthened his interest in history. Recently, Quentin collaborated with BCRC on the animated film BALATTOU, centered on the legendary club on Avenue Saint-Laurent and the African diaspora immigration to Montreal in the 1990s, screened at the Where They Stood festival in April. His artistic skills include 2D and 3D animation, illustration, augmented reality, painting, and visual world-building. He is also active in acting, voice-over, video, photography, and editing. With over 10 years of experience and several solo exhibitions, he continues to share his work while remaining passionate about history and artifacts, aiming to revisit and rehabilitate memories to better understand our roots and illuminate the future.
