Phania Jean-Baptiste is a filmmaker and a graduate of the prestigious joint program at INIS (National Institute of Image and Sound). As a recipient of a Netflix Film Production Scholarship, she chose to refine her storytelling craft by merging her initial skills acquired in the video game, animation, and visual effects industries. This transition to cinema allowed her to synergize her talents in interactive and visual storytelling, creating captivating and immersive cinematic works. Phania has honed her skills in screenwriting and directing, developing a unique talent for crafting engaging and original stories. In 2023, her project Monsieur White, a stop-motion animated short film, was selected for SODEC’s Emerging Program, highlighting her potential and artistic vision. Phania strives to design unique narratives capable of evoking deep emotions and transporting audiences to wondrous worlds. She fully leverages her love for storytelling and visual effects to create works that captivate and inspire.
