[IN]VISIBLE VOICES

An actress of Haitian descent and playwright, Maryline debuted her first solo show, AFRODISIAQUE, in 2021 at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts. The show was later presented at the Zoofest (OFF-JFL) festival, where it won the Award for Show of the Year (2022), and then as part of the CAM en tournée program, where she performed to sold-out audiences (2022–2023 season). In 2022, she received the Gloria Mitchell Aleong Award from Black Theatre Workshop, recognizing her artistic excellence, community spirit, and contributions to the arts. In 2024, Chery was named Theatre Actress of the Year at the Gala Dynastie.
