PHI MONTRÉAL

From January to June, 2024

Jacqueline van de Geer is Dutch and moved to Montréal in August 2005. She was born in Rotterdam, a place scarred by two bombings during the Second World War. Growing up in a city that was always being rebuilt taught her the 'do a lot with almost nothing' approach to her practice. Intimacy and reconnection are keywords in her work, with the aim of opening up the collective experience of participants. Some inspirations of her work are everyday life, Dada, surrealism and personal memories.
