Anamê Gnanguenon is an emerging Franco-Beninese filmmaker committed to social justice. Through her community engagement, journalism, and artistic practice, she advocates for human rights and the empowerment of underrepresented communities. Her multidisciplinary path has been shaped by community organization training at Harvard, public speaking training with Rokhaya Diallo in France, and advocacy and leadership programs at the Swedish Institute. Since 2021, Anamê has produced and hosted the podcast Women of the Blame, giving a platform to migrant domestic workers in Lebanon by training them and enabling them to share stories often overlooked by traditional media. In 2023, she was recognized among the most influential Afro-descendants internationally, representing Afro-descendant migrant women communities in Lebanon at a UN anti-racism program in Geneva. As part of the Massimadi screenwriting program, she is developing her personal and familial short film Augustus, exploring heritage, cultural mixing, and lost identities.
