Go behind the scenes of the creation of the exhibition Jean-Marc Vallée: Mixtape, and meet the people who worked in the shadows to create an intimate and authentic portrait of the filmmaker.

Presented at PHI from February 13 to July 6, 2025, this sound and multimedia journey offers a sensitive exploration of the memory and creative universe of Jean-Marc Vallée. Conceived as a celebration of the unique footprint he left on the cinematic world, the exhibition also highlights the profound impact he had on those who crossed his path, both professionally and personally. From the earliest stages of research, and based on exclusive content gathered during the production, it became clear that music occupied a central place in his life, nourishing his work in an intimate and visceral way.

With great sensitivity, the PHI team has gathered the words of his close friends and collaborators, and given shape to installations that invite the public to capture the essence of the director and soak up the emotions, delivered with sincerity. This exhibition would not have been possible without the generosity and involvement of his entourage, whose memories and confidences have shaped a deeply human exhibition.
